Karel Karsten Himawan,

Dr. Karel Karsten Himawan is a licensed clinical psychologist registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Indonesia and a dedicated committee member of the Indonesian Association of Clinical Psychologists. He is also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), reflecting his commitment to international standards in psychological practice. Dr. Himawan earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland, Australia.

Dr. Himawan brings extensive clinical experience in psychological assessment, counselling, and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families. He primarily works with adolescents and adults navigating personal and relational challenges, with a particular focus on issues related to singleness, dating, and marriage. He has completed Level 1 Training in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy and holds international certification as a facilitator for Prepare-Enrich, SYMBIS Assessment, and the Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis (T-JTA). In his therapeutic approach, he primarily integrates Reality Therapy principles and mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailoring interventions to the unique needs of each client.
